Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection contains autographs, manuscripts, photographs, and artwork created or contributed by notable figures in literature, art, politics, and the military during the World War I era. In addition to the materials assembled as Their Book, the collection includes unused contributions, correspondence of Anna O’Neill Johnson relating to the formation of the collection and the proposed auction, and a small number of related items, including two medals from the Orphelinat des Armées....

Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection contains a variety of materials including correspondence, photographs and illustrations, writing, booklets, pamphlets, and journals. All materials pertain to Cardinal John Henry Newman in some manner. About half of the collection dates to his lifetime such as his correspodence, writings and photographs of him. Additionally, there is a folder of material pertaining to Thomas Youdan, who attended Cardinal Newman's oratory school. These materials date from 1836-1881....
