This collection contains 51 oversized ink and pencil drawings by Berryman. Though most are undated, many of the cartoons depict political leaders and events of 1924-1926, when Calvin Coolidge was President and Al Smith was a dominating poltiical figure. Other figures illustrated include Herbert Hoover, Henry Ford, Charles G. Dawes, Andrew W. Mellon, and William G. McAdoo.
Herbert Hoover served as Secretary of Commerce under Harding and Coolidge, and became the Republican’s choice for President in 1928
