Scope and Contents

This record group documents student organizations at the College throughout its history with the earliest materials dating to 1848. Records of these organizations are arranged into the following eleven series: Academic Organizations; Arts Organizations; Campus Service Organizations; Club Sports and Recreational Organizations; Media Organizations; Multicultural Organizations; Peer Education Organizations; Philanthropic Organizations; Pre-Professional Organizations; Religious Organizations and Special Interest Organizations. Within each series, individual clubs and organizations are arranged in alphabetical order.

Historical Note

The Biology Society was founded in 1956 with the goal to foster the advancement of the Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, and Biological sciences and endeavors. The motto of the society was "Felix Qui Potuit Cognoscere Rerum Causas -- Fortunate is he who has been able to learn the causes of things."
