Historical Note

The French Club at College of the Holy Cross likely had multiple iterations, having existed in the early 20th century, and reinstated in the 1970s. The French Club was established circa 1974 under the official name Le Cercle Francais. The goal of the club was to promote the French language, culture and history on the campus, and to provide members with a space to speak and practice French for their college courses.
