Historical Note

The German Club was founded circa 1950 with a purpose to foster a knowledge of German language, literature, and culture. Their activities included lectures, banquets, movie showings, and cultural festivals. The club appears to have taken on multiple iterations over the following decades, including as the Der Deutsche Klub, which sought to give space for students to practice their German with peers.
