Historical Note
The History Academy was a student organization founded circa 1930 with the purpose of increasing interest in the study of history and support of scholarship in this field. The Academy held meetings for topic discussions with both students and faculty, and day students were encouraged to participate and integrate into the club. As the years went on, the academy meetings were composed of a lecture given by a student member, followed by a question and discussion period with attendees.
