Scope and Contents
This record group documents student organizations at the College throughout its history with the earliest materials dating to 1848. Records of these organizations are arranged into the following eleven series: Academic Organizations; Arts Organizations; Campus Service Organizations; Club Sports and Recreational Organizations; Media Organizations; Multicultural Organizations; Peer Education Organizations; Philanthropic Organizations; Pre-Professional Organizations; Religious Organizations and Special Interest Organizations. Within each series, individual clubs and organizations are arranged in alphabetical order.

Historical Note
The Mathematics Club (Math Club) was founded in 1946 by Rev. Joseph D. Fitzgerald, S.J. with the purpose of promoting interest in mathematics among students, and serving as a community for those interested in math. The club hosted lectures with visiting experts, seminars, and more.
