Scope and Contents
This record group documents student organizations at the College throughout its history with the earliest materials dating to 1848. Records of these organizations are arranged into the following eleven series: Academic Organizations; Arts Organizations; Campus Service Organizations; Club Sports and Recreational Organizations; Media Organizations; Multicultural Organizations; Peer Education Organizations; Philanthropic Organizations; Pre-Professional Organizations; Religious Organizations and Special Interest Organizations. Within each series, individual clubs and organizations are arranged in alphabetical order.

Historical Note
The mission of Dveloping and Educating South Asian Ideologies (D.E.S.I) is to enhance, reinforce and strengthen South Asian countries culture and social awareness at the College of the Holy Cross. D.E.S.I's agenda encompasses topics related to the eight South Asian countries: Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Afghanistan, India, and the Maldives. They explore the festivals and the traditions of these countries in efforts to educate the Holy Cross community.
