Scope and Contents

This record group documents student organizations at the College throughout its history with the earliest materials dating to 1848. Records of these organizations are arranged into the following eleven series: Academic Organizations; Arts Organizations; Campus Service Organizations; Club Sports and Recreational Organizations; Media Organizations; Multicultural Organizations; Peer Education Organizations; Philanthropic Organizations; Pre-Professional Organizations; Religious Organizations and Special Interest Organizations. Within each series, individual clubs and organizations are arranged in alphabetical order.

Historical Note

SHARE (Students for Heightened Awareness and Rape Education) was an organization founded in 1989 with the purpose of raising awareness across genders in the Holy Cross community about the problem of sexual assault on campus in hopes of both preventing sexual assault and helping victims of sexual assault.
