Scope and Contents
This record group documents student organizations at the College throughout its history with the earliest materials dating to 1848. Records of these organizations are arranged into the following eleven series: Academic Organizations; Arts Organizations; Campus Service Organizations; Club Sports and Recreational Organizations; Media Organizations; Multicultural Organizations; Peer Education Organizations; Philanthropic Organizations; Pre-Professional Organizations; Religious Organizations and Special Interest Organizations. Within each series, individual clubs and organizations are arranged in alphabetical order.

Historical Note
A fraternal and benevolent organization of Catholic laymen with about 1.5 million (1979) members globally. It is known for its devotion to causes like spreading the knowledge of American Catholic history, the pro-life movement, and for assisting the handicapped and needy.
