This record group contains information created by and about the College of the Holy Cross Bookstore. The earliest record is from 1926; the majority of records are from the second-half of the 20th century. The records include textbook prices and ordering guides, catalogs and advertisements for merchandise, correpsondence to faculty and students, financial records and reports, and newspaper and magazine articles about the Bookstore and its staff.

Historical Note
The College of the Holy Cross Bookstore is the department for selling textbooks, educational materials, internal publications, and school memorabilia. It is unknown when the Bookstore was exactly established as a department, though it was prior to or by 1930.
Over the course of its history, the Bookstore was managed both internally and externally. On May 1, 1985, the Bookstore became contracually managed by Brennan College Service, Inc., a national bookstore management firm founded by Holy Cross Alumn, Class of 1952, Edward J. Brennan Jr. Brennan College Service, Inc. was then purhcased by Follett, Inc., which continued to manage the Bookstore until March 1, 1993 when the Bookstore became an internally operated department of the College of the Holy Cross.
