Scope and Contents

The Track and Cross Country Records are made up of newsprints, press releases, media guides, and programs. Pieces of ephemera are also included in this collection, containing flyers, brochures, rosters, and schedules. These materials date from 1888 to 2015, with one folder containing one piece of undated ephemera; a notice to competitors regarding dress code. The collection is arranged in chronological order.

Historical Note

Holy Cross sponsors 27 varsity sports, each of which competes at the NCAA Division I level. The Men's Track and Cross Country team has records dating back to 1888. Throughout its history, Holy Cross athletes have earned high honors and awards, with Dan Conti (2nd) earning the Cosida Academic All-American Award in 2002, Dan Conti (1st) earning it in 2003, and Sam McGrath (1st) in 2014. The Track and Cross Country team also participates in the Patriot League for both indoor and outdoor track events.
