Office of the College Chaplains
Scope and Contents
This record group holds the records of the Office of the Chaplains and contains three series. The first series holds the administrative records created during the daily operations of the office. Dating from 1878 to 2019, these records include correspondence, publications, meeting minutes, reports and surveys. The Mass Records Series holds materials pertaining to services held on campus from 1967 to 1998. Finally, the third series contains records regarding the religious retreats held for students, alumni, employees and laymen sponsored by the Office of the College Chaplains. These records date from 1894 to 1999. The records in this collection are arranged chronologically within each series.

Historical Note
The Office of the College Chaplains serves to strengthen the spiritual life of the Holy Cross community through retreats, community service, pastoral care, and worship. It sponsors a wide range of spiritual programming including daily Mass, interdenominational ministry and retreats.
