Historical Note
In 2015-2016, Rev. Philip Boroughs, S.J. established the Mulledy/Healy Legacy Committee to assess the appropriateness of the names of two residence halls, given their historical ties to slavery. The committee, which included faculty, staff, and students, was tasked with exploring the reasons behind the College's building names, the insights, assumptions, and historical conflicts these names reflect, and how the institution might address the ongoing concerns that arose from its history and mission. Ultimately, the committee was asked to provide recommendations regarding the names of Mulledy Hall and any related issues.
