Correspondence to LIG from Ralph A. Cram, Undated
Scope and Contents
The Correspondence series contains the correspondence of Louise Imogen Guiney including letters written by her and letters sent to her. Most of which are the latter. This series is the largest within the subgroup and materials date from 1872 to 1935 with the majority dating between 1890 to 1920. Both personal and professional correspondence can be found throughout and Guiney corresponded with many over a significant number of years. In addition to giving insight into her life and career, this series also gives glimpses into Guiney’s personality.Occasionally, the full name of the correspondent is ineligible or only a partial name is provided. Clarifying notes are made in brackets throughout the box and folder listing. The series is divided into the following files: General Correspondence; Correspondence with Herbert E. and Agnes Clarke; Correspondence with Alice and Eliza Jordan; Correspondence with Ada Langley; Correspondence with Rachel and George Norton; Correspondence with Minnie J. O’Brien; Correspondence with Coletta Ryan and Correspondence with Clement King Shorter and Dora Sigerson Shorter.
