Cleveland thanks English for his recent letter regarding "the political situation", appreciates that much of the fight will be concentrated in English's state (Indiana, also home of Republican candidate Benjamin Harrison, nominated for presidency June 25th) and that "the tried and true Democracy of the party there will be tried to the utmost."
