Scope and Contents
This collection contains the papers of Arthur D. Healey and holds his personal papers, correspondence, speeches, family photographs and newspaper clippings. Also included are copies of Congressional Records and Bills introduced by Representative Healy from 1935-1941. Materials in the collection date between 1923 and 1966.

Biographical Note
Arthur D. Healey was born on December 29, 1889 in Somerville, MA. A veteran from World War I, Healey was a member of the House of Representatives from 1933-1942. He represented the 8th District of Massachusetts. From 1942-1948, Healey served as the Massachusetts U.S. District Court Judge. His son, Arthur D. Healey Jr. was a graduate of the Holy Cross class of 1948 and his other son, Rev. Robert F. Healey, S.J. was a member of the College's Jesuit community. Healey died in 1948.
