This scrapbook contains photographs of Potter’s activities during World War II. There are 44 pages of photographs from England, France, Belgium and Germany. Most of the images show people in uniform; the hospitals in which he served; activities around the hospital as well as military equipment such as tanks, V1 bombs, bomb damage, etc.

The collection contains letters addressed to Rev. Gillis from his brother Lieutenant Fredrick Gillis detailing his training for World War I in the United States at Plattsburgh, NY. The correspondence continues through Lt. Gillis’ travels to New York City for his transport across the Atlantic and he writes of his experiences on the ground in both England and on the front lines in France. The letters tell of the Lieutenant’s training and of some action he faced while on the front in France....
