Academic Awards, Conferences and Prizes
This record group holds materials regarding the academic awards given by the College, the Academic Conference and the Summer Research Program. It includes correspondence, lists of recipients, descriptions of individual awards, programs and posters. The record group is divided into three series: Academic Awards; Academic Conference; and the Summer Research Program. Records are arranged in chronological order.
Charles Eliot and the Jesuit Colleges Collection
This collection documents Eliot’s comments and responses to “Ratio Studitorium”. It contains pamphlets, letters, statements, and news articles. All the materials are dated 1889-1900.
Early Presidents: Mulledy- Lehy
This record group contains materials relating to the early presidents of the College from Fr. Mulledy to Fr. Lehy. Materials include biographical information, correspondence, diaries, receipts, certificates and writings. It dates from 1845 to 1918. The record group is arranged by series and each president has it own record group number.
Government and Community Relations
This record group contains materials pertaining to the College's relationship with the Worcester community. Materials date from 1995 to 2011.
Office of Mission
This collection contain records from the Office of Mission including booklets, publications and event materials. Notably, the record group contains the "Return to Me: Lenten Reflections from Holy Cross" booklets, which are published each year before Lent. Materials date from 2003 to 2023 and are arranged in chronological order.
Purchasing Office
This record group contains records for the purchasing office from 1963-2003. There is a single box containing correspondants and memos for director of purchasing, as well as manuals and prodecures for department. It is organized in chronological order.
Student Affairs Publications, Reports and Print Materials
This record group mostly contains student handbooks created by the division of Student Affairs. The handbooks date from circa 1920 to 2017. There are some gaps in the collection and it is not known if it is due to a handbook not being published that year or if a copy was never transferred to the archives. Additionally, there are copies of annual reports from the division, printed material such as flyers and brochures, and blank student id cards dating from 1950 to 1989.
