The majority of this collection consists of poetry and papers from Bizzell’s years studying at Wellesley College and Rutger’s University. Additionally, there are manuscripts and correspondence relating to professional activities from the mid-1980s to 1990s.

Biographical Note

Patricia Bizzell received her B.A. from Wellesley College in 1970. She studied English Literature at Rutgers University, receiving her Ph.D. in 1975. After graduating, she became an associate professor at Rutgers until 1978. Afterwards, Bizzel taught at Holy Cross for over 30 years. She retired in 2019. During her tenure at the College, she served as chair of the English department and the director of Writing Programs. In 2013, she received an M.A. in Jewish Studies from Hebrew College.
