Scope and Contents
This record group documents the annual commencement ceremonies of the College of the Holy Cross.
Series One consists of commencement programs, newsprint, and materials related to honorary degrees, arranged chronologically from 1846 to the present.
Series Two contains essays written for the Graduation Exhibition, an event held during commencement week in the nineteenth century at which students presented papers on a variety of subjects. The bound volumes of essays date from 1846–1867, 1874, and 1894.
