The first part of the volume (November 1869 - November 1871) was written by Rev. James J. Tehan, S.J.; the second part of the the volume by an unknown person. Entries include information on the weather, labor performed on the farm, a court action, and a list of purchases and expensses for May of 1871.

Includes lists of plants, receipts, copies of agreements, and newspaper clippings.
