Scope and Contents This collection contains the personal papers of Fr. Bean including fifteen personal diaries dating from 1920-1961, certificates and correspondence. Additionally, there is a large scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings, most of which pertain to Holy Cross athletics. This scrapbook is fragile due to the age of the clippings. The collection contains the personal records of Rev. John J. McCoy and includes his personal writings and speeches along with administrative record books and reports concerning the various parishes at which he worked. Additionally, there are records for Catholic schools in western and central Massachusetts and scrapbooks with newspaper clipping documenting Rev. McCoy, his parishes and reports on Catholic groups around the United States. Materials in the collection date from 1877 to 1932.
