This publication consists of two volumes of photographs and the coats of arms of the clergy of Canada from 1657-1933. Volume 1 contains four parts: The Pope, the bishops of Quebec, Ontario and West Canada. Volume 2 contains photos of the clergy from the Maritime Provinces. Each page contains a copy of the coat of arms, a photograph and a short biographical entry.

This collection contains a scrapbook, which has newspaper clippings and pictures of Edward Kavanagh as well as early Catholics and Churches of Maine. Additionally, there is typed and handwritten letters concerning the history of the Catholic Church in Maine. Finally, there are small pictures of churches and historic buildings in Maine. The material ranges in dates from the early 1920s to the 1940s.

Scope and Contents This collection contains a variety of materials including correspondence, photographs and illustrations, writing, booklets, pamphlets, and journals. All materials pertain to Cardinal John Henry Newman in some manner. About half of the collection dates to his lifetime such as his correspodence, writings and photographs of him. Additionally, there is a folder of material pertaining to Thomas Youdan, who attended Cardinal Newman's oratory school. These materials date from 1836-1881....

Scope and Contents This collection relates to the history of the Catholic Church in the Rockland-Thomaston area of Maine. Scope and Contents This collection consists of correspondence and writings of Jack Deedy and is arranged in four series. The first series contains Deedy’s personal correspondence with Bishop Wright dating from 1951 to 1981. This correspondence, a mixture of handwritten and typed letters, mostly concerned with editorials and newspapers. There are letters from Pittsburg and postcards from when Deedy visited Rome. This contains an assortment of autographed letters, manuscripts of European Catholic Ecclesiastics. The dates of the letters range from the 15th century through the 20th century.

The collection contains six journals belonging to Fr. Peters. Four of these journals concern meditations and sermons written by him. Another journal contains inspirational stories and parables while the last journal contains literary quotations, poetry and retreat material. Also included in the collection are Fr. Peters’ sister’s Last Will and Testament and a signed document stating that he will abide by the Papal decree of Sacrorum Antistitum.

The sermons are organized by the Ecumenical calendar. There are also miscellaneous items written on Holy Cross stationary. This collection also contains Rev. Buckley’s undated retreat material that is organized into 4 folders.
