Peter W. Collins Collection

Scope and Contents

This collection contains material pertaining to Peter W. Collins, antisocialist lecturer and writer. The collection mostly holds pamphlets and speeches written by Collins to warn Catholic workers of the dangers of socialism and anti-Catholicism. In addition, there are four notebooks with what is believed to be notes by Collins, newspaper clippings, and a letter to Rev. Eugene Burke. The materials date from 1919 to 1933.

Reminiscences of Fatherland

The content of the collection is a single work written by Owen McNamara entitled Reminiscences of Fatherland. McNamara wrote this volume for his children as a source of enjoyment for themselves and their children. The work tells of McNamara’s family history and life in Ireland.
