This collection contains homilies and notes on homilies delivered by Bishop Flanagan. Additionally, there is information on topics he was interested in preaching about. The collection is arranged alphabetically by topic.

Box 1 contains materials relating to Healy's time at College of the Holy Cross, including his diary from his final year at the College, as well as the speech he gave as valedictorian of the first graduating class. The collection contains six journals belonging to Fr. Peters. Four of these journals concern meditations and sermons written by him. Another journal contains inspirational stories and parables while the last journal contains literary quotations, poetry and retreat material. Also included in the collection are Fr. Peters’ sister’s Last Will and Testament and a signed document stating that he will abide by the Papal decree of Sacrorum Antistitum.

Scope and Contents Record group contains primary and secondary sources written by, for, and pertaining to Reverend Alexander Sherwood Healy. There are two lectures, as well as six folders of many notes, writings, and sermons written by Rev. Healy. There is also a religious play written for Rev. Healy by Rev. James O'Leary during Healy's tenure as Rector of the Boston Cathedral, as well as the Death Card honoring Healy upon his death in 1875. This collection contains Fr. Madden’s teaching materials, including exams and syllabi. Additionally, it holds his writings such as handwritten sermons, retreats notes, speeches, correspondence and lectures. Finally, there is personal ephemera pertaining to his travels. Materials in the collections date from 1916 to 1980.

This collection contains material that mainly documents Rev. Boylan’s religious life. Included is typed and handwritten correspondence, Renewal Baptismal Promises, undated sermons, a list of sermons given by Fr. Boylan and a copy of his eulogy. These materials date from 1931 to 1978. Additionally, the collection has his Jesuit medallion, a crucifix, and his Military Corps medal.

This collection contains Fr. Buckley’s personal documents and photographs, which include certificates, family photographs, and type-written sermons mostly dating from the 1940s-1970s. The sermons are organized by the Ecumenical calendar. There are also miscellaneous items written on Holy Cross stationary. This collection also contains Rev. Buckley’s undated retreat material that is organized into 4 folders.

The majority of the collections are copies of his sermons. They are arranged in alphabetical order by subject. Additionally, the collection contains some print ephemera such as certificates.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of one box with 72 handwritten sermons identified as written by Rev. Costello, 1895-1908. Each sermon has a blue cover with a title and a date. The sermons are 4 to 8 pages in length and many corrections, cross-outs and marginal notes. They are arranged chronologically. Some of the sermons are written on Stationary of T. Scope and Contents This collection contains a photograph scrapbook assembled while Rev. Callahan attended Shadowbrook. It holds portraits and group photographs of unidentified Jesuits and students as well as photographs of the grounds and the buildings at Shadowbrook, the Jesuit novitiate in Stockbridge, MA.
