This record group contains materials pertaining to organizations that has some sort of affiliation with the College of the Holy Cross. Records either document that activities of the organization or document the relationship of the organization with the College. It includes correspondence, reports, newspaper clippings, brochures and other documents dating from 1929 to present.
Rev. Albert Peters, S.J. Papers
The collection contains six journals belonging to Fr. Peters. Four of these journals concern meditations and sermons written by him. Another journal contains inspirational stories and parables while the last journal contains literary quotations, poetry and retreat material. Also included in the collection are Fr. Peters’ sister’s Last Will and Testament and a signed document stating that he will abide by the Papal decree of Sacrorum Antistitum.

This collection contains Fr. Madden’s teaching materials, including exams and syllabi. Additionally, it holds his writings such as handwritten sermons, retreats notes, speeches, correspondence and lectures. Finally, there is personal ephemera pertaining to his travels. Materials in the collections date from 1916 to 1980.

Rev. Bernard R. Boylan, S.J. Collection
This collection contains material that mainly documents Rev. Boylan’s religious life. Included is typed and handwritten correspondence, Renewal Baptismal Promises, undated sermons, a list of sermons given by Fr. Boylan and a copy of his eulogy. These materials date from 1931 to 1978. Additionally, the collection has his Jesuit medallion, a crucifix, and his Military Corps medal.

Rev. Charles E. Buckley, S.J. Papers
This collection contains Fr. Buckley’s personal documents and photographs, which include certificates, family photographs, and type-written sermons mostly dating from the 1940s-1970s. The sermons are organized by the Ecumenical calendar. There are also miscellaneous items written on Holy Cross stationary. This collection also contains Rev. Buckley’s undated retreat material that is organized into 4 folders.
